I live in the Copnor area of Portsmouth and I have been child minding since 2007. I am Ofsted registered, at my last inspection I was graded GOOD. I am member of Pacey and have met the required standards set by them to become part of the Quality Assurance Scheme. I offer a wide range of activities both in and out of my home based setting, including arts and crafts, cookery, messy play and reading. In addition to this I offer regular outings including visits to the local parks and to various toddler & singing groups, with regular visits to the library. I have a large amount of toys and games for children to play with in my home. I am also a member of the Connor’s Toy Library and I can borrow a wide range of toys and games on a regular basis to meet the children’s needs. I am able to deliver the 2 and 3 year old Nursery Education Grant within my setting. I offer a reliable, friendly and consistent service in a home based setting. I offer a safe and secure environment catering for all individual needs; helping children to meet their true potential

I have been a childminder for many years. In that time I have provided care for all ages from new born babies to young teenagers. In addition to this I have supported ‘teen parents’ in Portsmouth and have provided respite care and community places on behalf of social services. I have also been involved in mentoring new childminders. However some of my best experience has come from being a mum. My Qualifications - I have a Level 3 Diploma in home based childcare. - Paediatric 1st Aid Certificate. - Level 2 food safety certificate. - Advanced safeguarding for early years training - Integrated working and safeguarding module 2 and module 3 - Being part of Pacey I am able to access specific training to meet the needs of a child where required. I regularly undertake training courses and workshops to maintain my professional knowledge and to ensure I am meeting current legislation.
