I have been working in childcare for the last 10 years, working with 0-5s. After having my second little boy in 2020 i felt that now was the right time to launch my own childcare service. I am registered with Rutland Early Years Childcare Agency who work closely with Ofsted. Little Nestlings Childcare is a safe and secure home from home environment. Your child will be cared for, develop friendships, encouraged to reach their all important milestones, but most importantly be having fun. My home is welcoming and warm. I also have a secure garden which has artificial grass so is accessable all year round. I love different types of messy play, whether its with sand, playdoh, paints, soil, cornflour or anything else that requires you to get messy. As well as messy play i love seeing how children gain new skills, open up their imagination in different forms of role play to building and construction. I plan activities and experiences based on a childs interests and stages of development. As well as doing activities inside i also do activities outside in the garden, this could be things such as mark making, physical development activities or planting and growing flowers. I believe its important for children to explore the local environment, so i like to take the children to the woods, fields, local parks, nature reserves and other exciting places. On occasion i may be able to take children to petting farms,soft play centres or toddler groups.
